Open Water Certification Overview

The Open Water Certification is considered as the world’s most sought-after and widely recognized scuba course handled by experienced our PADI-certified or SSI-certified instructors. This 5-day course that lasts approximately 5 hours per day can be the pivotal start of your journey to becoming a certified diver. You are not pressured to finish the course in 5 consecutive days; in fact, you can take the succeeding sessions on a later date as long as it is within 1 year of the first one. However, we highly recommend that you finish the course within 7-10 days while all the lessons are still fresh in your memory.

The Open Water Certification is divided into 3 important parts:
1. Knowledge Development - Learn the basic principles of scuba diving
2. Confined Water Dives - Gain the necessary basic scuba skills
3. Open Water Dives - Apply newly acquired skills as you explore your marine surroundings

The instructional program involves classroom, pool, and 4 exciting ocean water dives. We conduct small classes with a maximum of 4 students per instructor to ensure that you get quality and personalized attention.

When you complete all the requirements of the Open Water Certification, you’ll become an official PADI or SSI certified diver and you will be qualified to dive with a buddy up to a maximum of 60 feet (18 meters). If you have dreams of becoming a professional diver, this course is a good place to start. You can take on a new challenge after this by enrolling in the Advanced Diver Certification, the first level in advanced scuba courses.
