Amigos Del Mar is a PADI, SSI, NAUI, NASDS Dive Resort Facility offering daily Sea of Cortez Scuba Diving Tours in Cabo San Lucas, a variety of Certification Courses and Introductory Scuba Courses, and – in season – natural history whale watching tours or whale shark snorkel excursions. Our choice of dive sites will please every diver, from the novice to the most experienced.
Cabo San Lucas is located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, the longest peninsula in the world, about 30 miles south of the Tropic of Cancer. Because we are located at the exact point where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez, we enjoy marine flora and fauna indigenous to both bodies of water, making our dives a truly unique experience. We have an average rainfall of 6″ per year. January to June average air temperature is around 80 degrees F and average water temp is around 68 degrees F . June to January average air temp is around 90 degrees F and water temp 85 degrees F . We enjoy warm water and optimum visibility from midsummer thru December, but the diving is always excellent due to the abundance of marine life and our Sealion rookery
Amigo Dos is a 25′ fast boat. Custom built with a freshwater shower, cooler and camera dip tank.
She’s got a big engine and marine electronics to find and reach out of the way adventure sites.
We like to use Amigo II for small private groups of 4-5 pax.
The Amigo Tres is 26’ Long, Wide and Stable . . . This wonderful little boat is used to carry divers to the remote dive sites away from the Bay of San Lucas. The hidden reefs on the Pacific side, Chileno and Santa Maria Bays, Blue Water Dives, Gordo Banks and much more!
Amigo Tres is equipped with marine head, lots of shade and a freshwater shower. 8 pax..
The Amigos Del Mar staff has a saying you’ll often hear around this place . . . It goes something like; “We Have to Remember That These Customers We Have With Us Today Saved and Dreamt All Year for this Dive Vacation in Cabo San Lucas . . . Let’s Make Today the Very Best We Can for Them . . . ‘Course it sounds way more poetic in Spanish
It’s People Who Make the Difference
At Amigos Del Mar we take great pride in our staff and the level of service they offer you . . . Your safety is always our first concern. Most of our staff have been with us for many years . . . This is unusual in the SCUBA Industry where Divemaster and Instructors drift from diveshop to diveshop like so much flotsam and jetsam in the Ocean . . . We truly believe in swimming the extra mile to make your diving vacation as memorable as possible . . .
Our staff; including Jon Vega, who oversees all training activities for Amigos Del Mar, Ismael Hinojosa, who keeps everything mechanical running well, Shaggy Lucero, who loves introducing folks to SCUBA, and the rest of our staff are all committed to making your dive vacation their top priority.
